Hours: Based @ Mane Hair Tues/weds 10.00am-8.00pm Thurs/Friday 10.00am-2.30pm Saturday 10.00am-4.00pm I'm the salon owner. Starting Evolve Hair & Beauty has been one of my dreams since starting my career in 1997. Evolve Hair & Beauty opened in 2008 with a team of 4 and has grown to a team of 18. Prior to opening Evolve Hair & Beauty I had managed hair salons, and obtained my colour certification whilst working as the Redken Colour Technician for the South Island. In my time with Redken I was a part of the artistic team where I worked alongside some of the very best international artists, and was also lucky to win educator of the year where I won a trip to Las Vegas I received additional training at the Redken Symposium. Whilst my role was to educate hairdressers on the great brand, it was also to help grow and develop hairdressers on a business level, which in turn gave me some key skills to running my own business. However, with the hairdressing world evolving, I still love to learn new tips and tricks so I keep up to date with education. I also love to cross the ditch to the hair expo in Australia. I'm very pleased to be able to offer my knowledge by giving the best colour advice and take home haircare. I get my inspiration from my wonderful team, and also keeping my eye on the latest fashion on the catwalk. |

What I love about hairdressing is meeting people, forming great relationships and helping them achieve a style that best suits both their personality and skin tone. Working at Evolve Hair & Beauty we use only the best Redken products which enables me to offer my clients the best home care regime to help them recreate and maintain the integrity of their hair. I have a softer style and I love to do hair ups. |

I can say it's my passion. The favourite thing about my job is that I love pushing the boundaries with new techniques in both cutting and colouring, and I love hairstyles with edge. I am confident in all areas and my clients always leave with a smile. I like to have fun with their hair but keep it professional at the same time. With my personality, I don't think you will find someone more suited to the industry. |

I have personally been hairdressing for 21 years and I still love my job as much today as I did when I started all those years ago. I moved to Christchurch from the UK - where I gained my hairdressing and beauty qualifications. I have also gained my qualifications in various types of hair extensions. I have worked in every aspect of the industry from running my own salons, to working freelance as a technical advisor to salons on all aspects of hair & beauty. I love giving clients a change of image whether it is a colour change, style change, or a complete makeover as I truly believe a change of image can change your life. |

After doing my first year I decided to go off and study Makeup, which I'm now a qualified make up artist. My favourite product that I use is Mac. I moved to Christchurch and worked with horses, which is another passion of mine having grown up with them, but I was drawn back to hairdressing, and I'd have to say I'm just loving it! Currently, I'm in my second year. I love learning and trying new things, and hair ups are my favourite thing to do. |

For the past 16yrs I have worked with the amazing Redken products, which we use today. I particularly specialise in blondes, and another passion of mine is hair ups. I have a separate business called Glam U which specialises in wedding hair and makeup. It is so rewarding being a part of someone's wedding day and enhancing natural beauty. |

I thought "I could do this as a career". so that's when it all began. I started at a local salon on work experience through school. I loved it so much I moved to the big smoke Christchurch to attend the Ruben Blades Hairdressing Academy allowing me to achieve my national certificate in hairdressing. Now 19 years later I am just as excited and passionate about every head of hair that sits in my chair as I was way back then. I have a slight obsession with the craft of hairdressing and cant get enough of making blondes seamless and colours melting together. |
